Lajos Tauber is no stranger to the Belgian blues scene – many still remember him from his time with Bluebird. Over the years, he has built a solid live reputation through various projects in blues, rock ’n’ roll, and rockabilly.

Shortly after the lockdown, Lajos was asked to perform a small-scale gig with a limited lineup, in accordance with the measures in place at the time. What began as a one-off occasion grew into the Lajos Tauber Trio. It didn’t take long before they wanted more.

Since last summer, Lajos has been the regular host of the renowned electric blues jams at Missy Sippy. The trio acted as the steady opening band there, which eventually led to their first festival performance. Their real highlight followed soon after: they were invited as the final live band to close the Missy Sippy Stage at Boogietown.

With Wolf d’Anvers on bass and Louïs Feys on drums, the trio serves up a powerful cocktail of blues rock, rock ’n’ roll, and an honest tribute to traditional blues.
